Changing key locations for GPG4Win(GNUPg port for Windows) in Windows 7
Unfortunately GPG4win is not portable and creates keys and
configurationis in your Windows folders , which is hard to backup and
encrypt and use it in a dual boot environment.
So I wanted a solution where , I would have GPG4win to be installed on any machine(because it is not portable) but point to my configurations on an encrypted truecrypt USB drive
I followed the post to relocate my configuration/keys f GPG4win but that would not work on Windows 7 because gpg4win is a 32-bit applications and hence I had to follow the post and created at the location below in Windows 7 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GNU\GnuPG
Voila and it started working.

TeraTerm terminal emulator with built-in file copy
Till now I have been using Putty
client. But one of the constant nagging things about Putty is that if
I'm logged in into a Unix/Linux box and i want to send or receive files
it is not possible to do so unless you use a different tool like Filezilla client
or Putty's other command line utilities. The disadvantage of both is i
need to re-authenticate and it is a little cumbersome to login again
etc.
So I was looking for a ssh client which would allow me to login and send/receive files at the same time from the same window. So I found Terra Term .I have been using it for the last couple of days and it seems to be working fine.

gpsd on Windows
Finally the port of gpsd is working on Windows.Yuo can read more about
it @ http://home.arcor.de/ulf.lamping/gpsd/gpsd.html#mozTocId282581
This is a pretty important development because quite a few gps's only work on Windows and this allows you to stream nmea data to various Linux GPS software which have been ported on Windows.

Reduce the number of clicks on Windows
On Windows XP and other variants of Windows , you can get rid of double
clicking .By default when you want to execute an application by
clicking on the desktop or in Windows explorer you have to double click
it.
But if you want to reduce the number of times you click your mouse , you can change this default behaviour by Enabling single click in Windows Explorer.
Here are the instructions to Enable single click.

GPL basaed Free/Open Source alternative for Nero CD/DVD burning software
For a long time there was a gap with any decent GPL alternative for burning/authoring DVD/CD's on Microsoft Windows.
InfraRecorder fills that gap.
