A child id kit allows partents to store vital information about their kids like fingerprints/hari sample etc.
It is very important to get a child id kit for your kids as in the event of missing a child or abduction this information is very critical for police to help finding your child.
We went to our local police station in the great mall in milpitas to get our child id kit free.
The process was very simple and the following things were done

Child was fingerprinted and the fingerprint stored on their computer.They gave us a printout of the fingerprint for our records.

The form which had fingerprints had a place to attach a photo which the police requested be changed every 2-3 years so that you have the latest photos of your child.

They took a picture of our son and stored it their database

They gave us a small ziploc to pull out one hair from the roots from our son for DNA sample

The process was pretty fast and I would encourage all parents to find a local police station which can ID their child.
